Join us for Sunday service at the church or online.
Thanks for your grace during this time. This will be a new experience for us so pray with me as we move into this new season. Thanks for offering your grace to us, to our tech people, and to each other. As I have mentioned before, there is a wide range of needs and understanding with regard to this virus. We are all doing our best to understand God’s will and how to move through this. With that in mind, here are some “guidelines” for us as we move forward. Let’s work together to stay health spiritually, mentally and physically.
What We Are Doing:
• Our service will be shortened for the time being and will begin at 10:30 am.
• Our Front Door Team will be wearing masks and will try to open the door for you as you arrive.
• Our service will endeavor to be a touchless experience.
• All hard surfaces in high-volume areas will be wiped down or sanitized prior to our service.
• The children’s ministry and nursery will not be open at this time. Your entire family is welcome to attend church together in the auditorium.
• Seating in the auditorium will follow state guidelines dependent on the phase that we are in at the time. Gaps of 6 feet will be utilized and groups of chairs will be set up in advance.
• Hand-sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the building.
• We will not hand out bulletins. The Bibles and pens will be removed.
• Volunteers will not be offering hugs or handshakes. Just smiles!
• No hospitality food or beverages will be offered. You are welcome to bring water/coffee with you.
• No offering bags will be passed. Online giving is the best option during this season. There will be a basket available at the back of the auditorium for those who want to give in person.
How You Can Help:
• If you don’t feel well or have health concerns, please stay home and join us online.
• Masks are not mandatory, but are encouraged. This is a matter of personal responsibility. We will have free masks available for you when you arrive in the lobby. You are also welcome to bring your own.
• Wash your hands and use hand sanitizer often.
• Maintain a distance of six feet between yourself and other guests.
• Arrive in the building no more than 15 minutes before the service.
• Enjoy meeting up with friends outdoors while observing the six-foot rule. Our indoor lobby will be designated a pass through area and lead directly toward the auditorium.
Before You Come This Sunday:
Be sure to ask the following questions on behalf of your entire group before attending The Heart this weekend:
• Am I showing any flu-like symptoms? Flu-like symptoms include cough, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell.
• Have I had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days?
• Have I had prolonged exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
• Is there any medical reason why I believe I shouldn’t be around others?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we strongly encourage you to join us online instead.
I read I Corinthians 13 this morning in my Bible reading time. It is a good reminder for these days – verses 4-7 – “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
So let’s be instruments of God’s love! I am excited to see those who can be here on Sunday! God’s love has always moved through His people to encourage and build hope!
If you have any needs during this time- a need for food or medications to be picked up and delivered to you, we have volunteers standing by to do that. Please let me know.
